Edge Of Tomorrow

Tom cruise is one of the all-time biggest stars in the world, except I feel that he may be in too many science fiction movies.  When I saw the movie preview for Edge Of Tomorrow, I thought,  “This is just another Cruise movie that has nothing to do with his latest legacy.”

Edge of Tomorrow stars Cruise as he plays Major Bill Cage who is amazing.  Cage signs a new recruit with a secret.

War hero, Rita (Emily Blunt), takes an interest in Cage during a battle.  She takes interest in him because while he can die over and over again, he can always come back to fix his mistakes in his previous life.

Edge of tomorrow is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time; Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt are terrific in their roles together.

Director Doug Liman (the Bourne identity) does an amazing job of bringing this outstanding story to the big screen.  Remember Groundhog Day?  That is what this movie is like.  I think they did a great job of bringing Tom cruise and Emily Blunt together on the big screen; I love the chemistry between the two of them.  The entire story is outstanding to watch!

There's everything in this movie and I loved every second of it!

I give this move 3.5/4 stars

The Fault of Our Stars

Shailene Woodley, starring as Hazel Grace Lancaster, in the movie The Fault Of Our Stars written by John Green.  This movie is certainly one of the best movies that I've seen this year.

Hazel Grace Lancaster (Woodley) stars as a young woman who has thyroid cancer, which has been affecting her most of her life.  She not only has to go from doctor to doctor with appointments, but she also has to carry around an oxygen tank.  She also attends coping meetings to help her better handle her situation.

One afternoon, Hazel arrives at one of her coping meetings and meets Augustus  ”Gus” Watters, who becomes immediately attracted to Hazel.  Gus is a survivor of cancer, who lost his leg during his battle.  Now, Gus wears a prosthetic leg in its place.

Gus and Hazel find themselves very attracted to each of other, not because they both have cancer, but because they are both interested in each other's feeling.  This lays a strong emotional attachment between the characters.

Hazel, who is always reading a book by author, Peter Van Houten, decides to write a letter to Houten.  Upon reading her letter, the shy Peter Van Houten invites Hazel and Gus to visit him in Amsterdam.  Upon receiving Houten’s letter, Hazel finds out from her mother that travel to Amsterdam is impossible because there is no money to send her out of the Country.

After a short hospital stay, Hazel returns home to discover that her mother had purchased both her and Gus two tickets to Amsterdam to begin their adventure together.

Shallene Woodley is one of the best young actresses working in today's movie scene.  Woodley and Jennifer Lawrence, I think, are the two best actresses that are amazing to watch, and I can't wait for next project.

Director Josh Boone did a wonderful job at directing this outstanding book that was authored by John Green. This is a fantastic, unforgettable movie, and I have already seen it twice.  My youngest daughter, who is 13, loved it as well.

I gave this movie 4/4 stars.

RoboCop

A robotics company is seeking to bring its technology American Law Enforcement by transforming a critically ill police officer. Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson and the great Michael Keaton are all tremendous in their roles in this movie.  My only question is- why do we need another RoboCop?  I think this is one of the most ridiculous movies I have seen in many years!

I gave this movie 1/4.

Lone Survivor

Through the mountains, Mark Wahlberg leads a pack of men who are all Navy Seals to battle the Taliban squad.  The Taliban Squad is completely out numbered by the Qaeda operative.

I thought the lone survivor was a great call for the military organization, especially the Navy Seals.  If you haven't seen this movie, please check it out.  It is an amazing movie to watch.

On a side note- make sure you don't watch this movie with anyone under 15 years of age, because they might have a lot of questions.

I gave this movie 3.5/4 stars.

A Million Ways to Die in the West

Seth McFarlane is a very talented man because he directed the great movie Ted and Family Guy.  However, this was a poorly written film that really only had a few humorous points.

Albert (McFarlane) is a sheep farmer that is always in trouble. He also is dating a girl who is played by Amanda Seyfried.  She suddenly decides that she doesn't want to pursue any further relationship with McFarlane, so she starts dating a snob, who is played by Neil Patrick Harris.

When Anna (Charlize Theron) comes home, her husband, Clinch (Liam Neeson) is the most feared gunfighters in the West.  And so, from here, the movie takes off.

I am sorry to say that I only gave this movie 1/4 stars.
